Summer School – Population Health Management 6 – 10 July 2026

An ageing population, epidemiological challenges, rising healthcare costs, and technical developments in the medical sector are some of the topics that will be covered during the 5 day Summer School on Population Health Management. You will learn strategies and acquire new competences to understand and deal with these current issues and developments in healthcare.

Join the Summer School Population Health Management 2026 for an inspiring and scientific introduction to the fundamentals of Population Health Management at The Health Campus The Hague for professionals (and students) working in and around healthcare. The keynote speakers and professors during the course are experts in their field and some of the speakers are faculty staff of the two year Master’s programme Population Health Management.

The Summer School is organized by the Master’s programme Population Health Management (PHM) which is part of the Faculty of Medicine of Leiden University (LUMC) and the Health Campus The Hague.

This year the Summer School is planned from 6 to 10 July 2026.

Summer School – Alternative Payment Models (June 29th – July 3rd)

Healthcare systems are at a turning point. Changing demand, workforce shortages, and growing financial constraints are forcing policymakers and healthcare leaders to rethink how care is organized and paid for. Payment models play a crucial role in shaping incentives, collaboration, and long-term sustainability. This five-day Summer School on Alternative Payment Models (APMs) offers a unique opportunity to explore how innovative payment strategies can better align financial incentives with the goals of high-quality, accessible and affordable care. Together with leading experts and peers, participants will gain practical insights into the design and evaluation of payment reforms that support the transition towards future-proof healthcare systems.

Join the Summer School for Alternative Payment Models (APMs) to get an introduction to designing and applying APMs that support the transition to value-based healthcare. Through real-world cases, practical examples, and interactive working methods you will learn how financial incentives can be used to improve collaboration and quality of care. The keynote speakers are experts in their field.

This year the APM Summer School is planned from 29 June to 3 July 2026.
